Brockville and District Association for Community Involvement understands the relationship between a person receiving support and their support worker is a personal relationship best overseen in concert by the family, the individual themselves and BDACI. How Does BDACI ASSIST Families Who Manage Their Own Supports?

BDACI will work together with families to recruit and match support workers with their family. Families will participate in the interview process whenever possible and as much as they desire. Facilitators will work together with the family, to coach and guide workers, to ensure the support reflects the goals and interests of the person.

Families and support staff will also be invited to participate in training and learning opportunities through out the year.
